There is a staing in music journalism, ’when Dylan speaks, we better listen’.
Robert Zimmerman, known to the world as Bob Dylan had always been tributed as one of the greatest ever – he is certainly the only popular music acts to win the Nobel Prize.
Maybe he is the number one singer-song writer of all times, but Dylan is also a character and has always been something like a mystery.
Recently he surprised thebworld by releasing the 17 minute long song, ’Murder Must Foul’, about the Kennedy assassination. The song was released with no prior notice after a eecade of silence.
Now at age 79 Dylan presents a new album, ’Rough and rowdy ways’.
Dylan rarely speaks to media but he has this weekend made interviews in New Tork Times and woth Rollings Stone. He is extremely upset by the current situation in relation to the Floyd killing and says: ”It sickened me no end to see George tortured to death like that,” he said. “It was beyond ugly. Let’s hope that justice comes swift for the Floyd family and for the nation.”
That could be one of the best songs ever”
Dylan also talks about his recent reference to artists like Little Richard, John Prine, Don Henley and Glen Frey. Dylan says, that Eagles ”Pretty Maids All in a Row” could be ”one of the best songs ever”. I couldn’t agree more. Every body should listen when Dylan talks.
