It is now official. The UK formally confirms’ to EU that it won’t extend the transition period.
UK ends its transition period on 31st December 2020, 202 days from now.
Michael Gove sent the message to Maros Sefcovic, the EU Commission’s Vice-President for Interinstitutional Relations earlier today.

Gover said that he chaired a “constructive” meeting with Mr. Sefcovic and that he has told Brussels that “the moment for an extension has now passed”.
