We live in a new time, a time of globalization. We will soon see the a new updated edition of globalization, post the Covid-19/Corona virus crises – Globalization; The World 2.0.
One of the things that have changed the most over the last years is the international supply chaon and integration of global value chains, movement of goods and people.
Globalization has also changed the charachter of international cross-border crime.
I have with my colleague and dear friend Dr. Alan Bersin, former DHS / USCBP / U.S. Border Czar, written an academic paper; ‘Lines, Flows & Transnational Crime: Toward a Revised Approach to Countering the Underworld of Globalization’.
Based on our own lifetime experience from work in this environment and from considerable research, we propose a new paradigm on how to fight transnational crime.
The article has been published in the prestigious academic journals; ’Homeland Security Affairs’ & World Customs Journal.
It is time to take the fight against international cross-border crime to a new level, especially in the light of the Covid-19 / Corona virus crises where we see crime syndicates and cartels moving into new sectors.
Let’s do something about it – and let’s do it now! This is our contribution.
