Container shipping industry welcomes digital revolution, according to new DCSA report

Through insights from 400 senior decision-makers and in-depth interviews, the report provides a 360-degree view of how digitalisation is reshaping the container shipping landscape.
There are some highly interesting results in the report, and I recommend all of you to read it. Outcomes form the survey showing that:
▪ 86% of cargo owners view digitalisation as a tool for operational efficiency
▪ 41% of cargo owners supply chain visibility and access to real-time data as their top operational priorities, surpassing cost efficiency
▪ 82% of cargo owners with higher levels of digitalisation agree that it leads to improved customer satisfaction and experience
▪ 81% believe that it leads to a significant of operational costs
▪ 86% believe that early adoption of digital technologies provides a competitive advantage
These are very promising numbers, that we also recognize from our own research and dialogue with customers.
