This week World Trade Organization (WTO) is organizing the fourth edition of the Trade and Environment Week (12 to 16 June 2023).
The event presents a forum for government officials, business representatives, international organizations, academics, and civil society to discuss ways to make global trade more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive.
Fighting climate change, transitioning to green economy, and supporting sustainable development, while ensuring economic development and social inclusion is key for trade, for the environment, and for finding sustainable solutions. Multilateral trade and environment cooperation, which will be the focus of the opening event, are pivotal drivers for this transition.
