Swedish equal voting rights 100 years today

Today, it is exactly 100 years since the Swedish Parliament passed the formal decision on universal and equal voting rights, also for women.

After a strong advocacy outside our parliament, the common right to vote became a reality on May 24, 1919, 100 ago years today.
